THanks a million belama!!!!!!was jsut gonnas end it fr service.thx a lot.u amde my day. I then rebooted, and - navigating around with the keyboard - reinstalled the touchpad drivers and rebooted. I unplugged the tablet, and uninstalled the tablet and touchpad drivers. However, my touchpad and tablet have worked fine together for the past few weeks and have never caused any problems. I thought it might be my Wacom Graphire II graphics tablet, which is plugged in via USB 2. That's the only time it works, it doesn't even work at the welcome/logon screen.Īfter those 3-4 seconds, something obviously happens that's preventing it from working. However, during the uninstalling process, my laptop suddenly switched off, and when I switched it on again, Kaspersky was still there but the Touchpad. The OS is Windows 7, and Kaspersky was installed but out of date, so I decided to uninstall it and install AVAST. I don't feel this is a hardware issue in the sense that the touchpad has become unplugged from the internal PS/2 port, because the touchpad works for about 3-4 seconds after I log onto Windows/when the desktop loads up. I have an laptop ACER TravelMate 5742series but the Touchpad is now not working. However, I turned it on this morning (it worked fine last night) to find that my touchpad no longer works. Note: The guide mentions the "Layout ID Injection", what worked for me was layout ID 28.I have a new Acer Aspire 1670 laptop which has worked fine for the past few weeks.

Note: To have the multitouch functionality on the trackpad (the 2-finger thing for right click and scroll and etc) we should wait for the VoodooI2C rewrite as ben9923 said. After acomplished the steps related to the trackpad the keyboard started to work as well. Installed VoodooPS2Controller.kext (v 1.8.29) Removed the AppleIntelLpssI2C.kext, AppleIntelLpssI2CController.kext and AppleHPM.kext from S/L/E
Some plucky users found that the problem stemmed from the serial IO drivers (that let the laptop communicate with external devices, including the touchpad), which were out of date. BIOS/Security Tab/Security Boot Mode/Custom HP Touchpad Not Working There’s an issue that’s been specifically affecting HP laptop users on more recent versions of Windows 10. No 2 fingers for right click, no 2 fingers for scroll and no System Preferences recognition/detection) (as a mouse, "Point and click" and "Right click" on the bottom right end of the trackpad. That's what I've achieved so far (briefly), thanks to the help of RehabMan and ben9923 : Building a CustoMac Hackintosh: Buyer's Guideįor those like me with an Acer Aspire ES.
